What’s Better: Having 10 Sites or 5 Sites?

"authority site vs niche site"How many websites do you need to earn a full time income? Should you focus on one site or build several niche sites? A few years ago, the best way to make money online and create traffic was to have multiple websites up and running. It was very difficult to run 10 or more sites as a one-man operation. Some marketers were having 50 and even 100 sites covering various niches. Each website required fresh content, backlinks, social media promotion, and regular maintenance. Imagine taking all the efforts you put into those sites and plugging them into one.

Many online marketers have found value in creating niche sites at scale, while others have started to build authority sites. Before making a decision, it’s important to understand the pros and cons of each option. An authority site is designed to be the ultimate resource for that topic. Its main goal is to educate readers and build lasting relationships. This type of website offers tons of information about the topic that is being discussed. It can have hundreds of pages filled with content.

There are lots of ways to monetize an authority site. You can sell your own products, promote affiliate programs, write sponsored posts, and even request a membership fee. Over time you can create a successful brand and gain loyal readers. The downside is that you’ll have to spend months building traffic and backlinks, writing content, and promoting your business. If you want to create a long term relationship with your readers, you have to write the content yourself and interact with your prospects.

A niche site is usually built around a set of keywords. It can have one or more pages. Most niche sites have five to ten keyword-rich posts that are designed to get an instant sale from the final customer. These sites rely on a single income stream like Clickbank, Amazon, or Google Adsense.

It’s much easier to build and maintain niche sites than authority sites. This business model requires little investment. Marketers can outsource every aspect of the business, from keyword research to content creation and social media. You can earn money within the first few weeks with minimum effort. The key to success is to use keywords with low competition and high search volume.

If you’re not sure what to do, start with a small website. Choose a niche that you’re familiar with, do keyword research, and find your target audience. Start writing content. As your website grows, decide whether you want to start a new one or focus on your current project.

    Hi there,

I enjoy your throughts on this post, I myself feel that it just takes work and patience in developing sites and finding the right keywords, also finding the right readers that will become loyal to you takes time.

So if someone is making money on one site that’s good for them or someone is making more money are three or more even better.

    So untitl next time.

    Have good day.
