When people ask what I do for a living, they are often surprised to find that I own my own Internet marketing business. They find it hard to grasp the concept of running a business that doesn’t have anything really tangible; no store, no physical products – nothing more than my computer, my virtual products and my ideas.
When people do learn that I run a very successful business from, I do also often hear “How can I do that?
My response to this question is always the same: “Of course you can!” But, I tell everyone that you also have to have the right mindset, or the right mind map to be successful in Internet marketing. You have to really get into the mindset of Internet marketing. That is, you really need to think of your campaign and everything that goes into it in order to be successful in this industry.
That being said, there are many things that are included in the Internet marketing mind map. I will try to paint you a picture, as best I can, of what this map includes.
In the center of an Internet marketing mind map is traffic. Traffic is what drives the success of your business and it is the most important aspect of your business.
There are a lot of things that go help you get traffic in this industry, i.e., the other components of Internet marketing. So, what helps you get traffic? Here are a few examples:
- Social media
- Search engine optimization (SEO)
- Email marketing
- Local ads
- Google Ads
….And the list goes on.
You see, there isn’t just one thing or one proven method that you can follow in order to find success in this industry. There are several things that you need to put into place and utilize in order to be successful in this cut-throat, yet wonderful industry. If you play your cards right, or follow the mind map of Internet marketing, you are sure to find success in this industry.
One important thing to remember is that you must always be willing to alter your map. That is, you must be willing to add new techniques, add new tricks, try out new things, etc. Your Internet marketing mind map needs to be willing to change in order to really become truly successful in this business.
