To be totally honest, the last thing that you want to be doing with regards to your internet business is to become a slave to Google and be constantly worrying if you have dome anything wrong which could cause your websites and blogs to drop down the rankings but on saying that, the aspects of SEO which Google favours can only go on to benefit your online business so you might as well decide to go with the flow to to speak and at least you will have Google on your side.
It would be fair to say that one of the most important SEO practice when it comes to Google is the content that you put on your website. Content is most definitely king so make sure that the content that you add is both helpful and informative. Another thing to remember is that you should add content on a regular basis. At the very least, two or three times a week but much more than that if possible. Don’t fall into the trap of writing the content with the search engines in mind, concentrate on your visitors and you won’t go far wrong.
When it comes to providing backlinks for your blog or website, tread carefully, don’t fall into the trap of using the so called link farms because that is about as big a red flag it is possible to get in Google’s eyes. Obtain backlinks from other websites in the same niche and you will find that your efforts will be adequately rewarded.
Try and forget about all of these so called short cuts and stick to the basics, if you do this I am not kidding when I say that you will stand out a mile in terms of quality and you really will become Google’s best friend and theory will look after you and your website accordingly.
Don’t just set up a website and then forget it, you could argue that there is nothing wrong with that but the latest Google updates have clearly stated that this is just what they don’t want. When you consider that the rankings will be poor you would have to ask yourself if it is worth it.
I would recommend starting with one blog or website and really put everything into that, I can tell you from personal experience that you will definitely reap the rewards over the long run.
