On to the letter ‘O’ in the A to Z Blogging Challenge, and for this letter, I have decided to discuss offline marketing. I know that you may be wondering why I have opted to talk about offline marketing when I, and you, work in the Internet marketing industry. Well, believe it or not; there is a strong connection between offline marketing and your Internet marketing business.
While it may seem that everyone, now-a-days, is relying on their laptop or their mobile apps to find out information, the truth is, there is still a huge audience that watches regular television, reads magazines and the like. What does this mean for you, as an Internet marketer? It means that taking advantage of these types of offline platforms can actually help to boost the success of your online business.
Allow me to give you an example: Let’s say that you have a Web site in the parenting niche. While you can, and should absolutely, market your business on different platforms that appeal to parents on the World Wide Web, you can also market your business via offline platforms that your targeted audience – parents – will notice. For instance, you may want to place an ad for your parenting Web site in a parenting magazine. Readers of the parenting magazine, who may not be on Facebook, may not use Twitter and may not use the Web to search for information about parenting, but rather read the given magazine, will thus find out about your Web site. This means that you have reached and attracted a whole new audience.
By combining this online and offline advertising, you can significantly increase the traffic to your Web site. Of course, I am not saying that you should neglect your online marketing practices; I am, however, suggesting that you incorporate offline marketing in your marketing strategy. Can you imagine how many more people you will attract if you use both online and offline marketing? As I say, combing online and offline marketing can result in a large increase in the traffic to your Web site, and at the end of the day, we all want to drive more traffic to our sites.
So now that you know that offline marketing can actually be beneficial to an online business, I do hope that you make this type of marketing part of your business strategy. You will be quite delighted by the results.
