I am often asked how to avoid getting sandboxed on Google as it seems to be many peoples worst fear but I always advise that if you are doing nothing wrong with regards to site building and SEO, then there will be nothing to worry about. I am not saying that your site will not go into the sandbox, it happens to the best of us, but it will soon return and probably end up in a better position than it was before.
If you are not familiar with Google’s sandbox, it is the term given when a website, usually one which is relatively new, completely disappears out of the search engine rankings. People will then panic and assume all sorts of dramas which will go on and stop them from achieving their dream of earning an income online.
I could go on and tell you that there are ways to avoid the sandbox but there aren’t, all I can really advise is to carry on as you were whilst the site is in the sandbox, keep adding quality content on a regular basis, build backlinks from other blogs and websites which are in the same niche and above all, don’t try any funny business because if you do your website will never get out of it!
As you probably know, Google is something of a mystery, especially when it come to the algorithms which are used to rank a website but what is clear that quality content and lots of it is what really matters so just keep at it and you won’t go far wrong.
If and when you experience the Google sandbox, don’t do what so many people do and go on the internet marketing forums asking for advice because you will end up completely overwhelmed and thinking of packing it all in. I have seen so much rubbish posted on these forums that you just would not believe it, information which is about as misleading as it is possible get so again, if the you experience the sandbox just keep your head down, before you know it you’ll be achieving search engine rankings that are better than you ever imagined.
Just look at it as all part of the process to making money online, the sandbox will soon be distant memory, that is until you release your next website, but whatever you do, don’t let it put you off internet marketing for one minute.
